One of the attractive features of this plant is the smoothly light grey bark that allows the plant to have a height of 18 inches. The spread can be as much as 18 cm. Some other names of the plants are Indian laurel, Malayan Banyan, Chinese banyan, gajumaru and curtain fig. It thrives in bright light, but overexposure to direct sunlight can be harmful. It is an easy to grow plant that can be used for making hedge or growing in a pot.
